About the IOSH course
The IOSH Working Safely focuses on best practice rather than legislation in health and safety within a workplace. IOSH is the world’s biggest professional health and safety membership organisation.
Who is the IOSH Working Safely training course for?
IOSH Working Safely is a one-day course for your staff at any level, throughout all departments in your organisation who require general knowledge of the foundations of health and safety. The course focuses on why health and safety is important, and how you can make a real difference to the wellbeing of yourself and others through changing your behaviour.
Candidates who successfully complete a 10 question, multiple-choice assessment paper plus three hazard spotting exercises will be awarded with an IOSH Working safely certificate or a credit card-sized IOSH passport card. The course is a 100% match to the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘Passport’ syllabus.
Please note that as of 31st March 2020, IOSH Working Safely is no longer recognised as an equivalent to the Level 1 Award in Health & Safety in a Construction Environment. Delegates looking to apply for a Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) green labourer card should instead look to take the QA Level 1 Health & Safety in a Construction Environment or CITB Health & Safety Awareness course.

- Protecting our environment
Duration
The IOSH Working Safely course will be completed over a duration of 8 hours in total. You will have professional guidance from highly qualified and experienced instructors.
e-Learning
We also offer IOSH Working Safely as an e-Learning course, allowing you to learn from the comfort of your own home. You can complete the course online in any desktop or laptop browser, learning at your own pace.
