The Category A IATP-approved Asbestos Awareness course is our most affordable training option for asbestos compliance. IATP Asbestos Awareness course candidates will receive comprehensive and convenient video asbestos training that adheres fully to HSE guidelines.
The IATP are an independent trade organisation working in close conjunction with the HSE. Their Asbestos Awareness certification maintains the same rigorous standards involved in the UKATA course, and the IATP certificate is widely accepted by employers around the UK.
Any organisation, sole trader or contractor should be aware of the risks posed by asbestos, which was widely used in buildings around the UK until the year 2000. Anyone who expects to work with or come into contact with asbestos has a legal requirement to undertake with asbestos awareness training.
Asbestos inhalation can cause serious illnesses which may remain dormant for multiple decades, including the deadly diseases asbestosis and mesothelioma. This absence of warning signs makes it imperative that you are able to identify and control asbestos correctly.
Our IATP Asbestos Awareness video course takes around one hour, and provides you with an instant download of your Asbestos Awareness certificate upon completion of the course. This certificate shows a “review” date (as opposed to an expiry date) and can be printed out to use or display. However, it is recommended that you periodically take a refresher course to remain aware of the risks of asbestos exposure.
What is Video e-Learning?
Online learning (often referred to as e–learning) is increasingly used as a method of providing asbestos awareness training. HSE recognises the use of e-learning as a viable delivery method, among others, for asbestos awareness training, provided it satisfies the requirements of Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and the supporting Approved Code of Practice L143 ‘Managing and working with asbestos’.
– Health & Safety Executive
Video e-Learning is our new online video training system, and an alternative approach to our traditional e-Learning courses. Each module of the IATP Asbestos Awareness course is taught with a face-to-face video. Once you’ve finished the video and taken in all of the information, you’ll then have to pass a test to move onto the next module.
This IATP Asbestos Awareness video course is perfect for visual learners, and anyone who prefers the classroom environment but is unable to make it to our training centre. Video e-Learning users benefit from the visual stimulus of the video training and face-to-face tuition, with all of the advantages of studying wherever and whenever suits you best.
