If your building has hot water – or cold water than could be exposed to heat – there’s a chance it may develop Legionella. This bacterium thrives at temperatures commonly found in hot water taps, and ingesting it can cause Legionnaire’s disease, a potentially fatal form of pneumonia. Knowing the risks and taking preventative action is not just advisable – it’s mandatory under health & safety law.
Our Basic Legionella Management course will help you to identify the dangers that Legionella poses, driving home the value of maintenance and prevention. You will learn the many ways to identify and assess the sources of Legionella, and how to take action to eliminate the risks. By the end of the course, you should be equipped to undertake your own Legionella control programme – or make confident, informed choices when commissioning others to take this on for you.
This course is primarily aimed at building and facilities managers and maintenance professionals that have nominated responsibilities for water systems. However, it is also suitable for any managers, supervisors or other staff who may be decision-makers in this area; or anyone who commonly works with water systems and could be exposed to the risk of Legionella.

What is Video e-Learning?
Video e-Learning is our new online video training system, and an alternative approach to our traditional e-Learning courses. Each module of the Basic Legionella Management course is taught with a face-to-face video. Once you’ve finished the video and taken in all of the information, you’ll then have to pass a test to move onto the next module.
This Legionella safety video course is perfect for visual learners, and anyone who prefers the classroom environment but is unable to make it to our training centre. Video e-Learning users benefit from the visual stimulus of the video training and face-to-face tuition, with all of the advantages of studying wherever and whenever suits you best.
