Since lock down SAMS have been running a large number of training courses remotely over ZOOM, the initial though of this was that it would only to be temporary, 3 years later I was proven to be wrong. In fact, 3 years later it’s shown to be a such a popular and effective way of learning that it is now our most popular way of delivering our courses. our experienced tutors took to this way of working and we quickly adapted our skills to what we did in the classroom. However, there is still some anxiety around taken the courses over a remote platform and we hope to alleviate this by explaining exactly how it works.

The booking process

Courses can be booked on our online booking platform and this will ensure your place on the courses this is a straight forward process with payment available by a number of gateways we have a few courses on our CITB suit including the health and safety awareness for the green CSCS card, SSSTS and SMSTS among other courses. As the date gets closer the SAMS team will send out all resources and a zoom link so you can log onto the course. Before the course proceeds our admin, team will give the learner a pre call to check that all resources have been sent and go through the criteria to ensure you have a suitable workstation to use such as a laptop (phones and tablets are not permitted) and a suitable work location without distraction and interference

Taking the courses

Whether you have your SSSTS or SMSTS you will feel relaxed in the zoom environment as your tutor will go through the course material at a pace that is suitable and easy to digest which also covers the course in detail, the trainer will make use of break out room by introducing exercises and discussions to insure all candidates have a true understanding of the course. We have been told by past students that they have been more than satisfied with our training with a large majority stating they would recommend SAMS for future training and others coming back to use for further training.

Assessment processes

SAMS use for the HSAW, SSSTS and SMSTS a online examination software Class marker which gives instant results and is user friendly once the test has been completed the tutor will give feedback and depended on results will then pass the leaner. Other assessments are taken throughout the course including tool box talks and core exercises along with the SSSTS and SMSTS criteria. Certificates will then be sent to the learner with 10-15 working days and then your remote learning journey has been completed.
